The MTG Tradepost South Africa platform (the "Vault") is a specialised secondary market facilitator designed for the peer-to-peer exchange (barter) of authentic Magic: The Gathering collectable cards. This Acceptable Use Policy governs the conduct of all users to ensure a secure, transparent, and fair trading environment.
Users are permitted to list and trade only authentic, physical Magic: The Gathering assets.
Counterfeit Policy: The listing, offering, or distribution of counterfeit or "proxy" cards is strictly prohibited. Any user found attempting to trade non-authentic assets will face immediate account termination and a permanent "Security Red" ban.
Accuracy of Description: Users must provide an honest assessment of card conditions (e.g., Near Mint, Lightly Played) and utilise the "Photo Request" feature to provide high-resolution evidence of the asset's current state.
MTG Tradepost is a barter-facilitation platform. To comply with South African financial regulations:
No P2P Cash Transactions: Users are prohibited from using the platform to facilitate cash payments between one another. The "Vault" is for like-for-like or equal-value card swaps only.
Fee Compliance: Users must pay the required platform and logistics fees via the authorised Paystack portal. Attempting to bypass these fees by arranging "off-platform" logistics while using Tradepost data is a violation of this policy.
The integrity of the "Radar" (Trust Layer) is paramount.
Trust Manipulation: Users may not engage in "shill trading" (creating fake trades to boost reputation scores).
Communication: All trade-related communication must remain professional. Harassment, fraud, or deceptive practices will result in the immediate locking of a user's digital vault.
Verification Compliance: In accordance with our March 1st "Vault Lockdown" protocol, users must provide valid South African ID and Proof of Residence to achieve "Verified Trader" status. Providing fraudulent documents is a criminal offence and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
Account Security: Users are responsible for the security of their login credentials. Any unauthorised access to a "Vault" must be reported to MTG Tradepost support immediately.
Handshake Integrity: Whether using "Local Handshake" or "Vault Courier" (Bob Go/Pudo), users are expected to act in good faith. Failure to ship an item after a trade has been "Accepted" and fees paid is considered theft of service and asset fraud.
MTG Tradepost reserves the right to:
1. Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
2. Lock digital inventories (Escrow) during active dispute investigations.
3. Share relevant data with law enforcement or courier partners (Bob Go) in the event of suspected criminal activity.
